About Dansk Lighting …. A Few FAQ’s

Q: What is the difference between “Stock and  Custom Order” Lighting
A: Stock lighting we have in stock most of the time, but colors are limited.      Custom order lighting is made to order, with production wait time of 8-12 weeks.

Q: How do we install and wire our new lighting?
A: Our pendant lights are designed to be hardwired into your ceiling.  Our   bathroom or wall fixtures are designed to be hard wired and our canopy will cover a standard blue 4” round electrical box.  All canopy’s are brushed nickel finish.  None of our lighting install on tracks or use halogen bulbs.   All of our lighting takes either E12 (candelabra) or E26 (Big standard base) US    standard bulbs easily findable at most hardware stores.  All of our lighting    includes all you need to install the light to a blue box, either new construction or removing and replacing existing lighting

Q: How close is the actual item to the catalog picture globe shapes ?
A: All  of the items in this catalog are just that, catalog  pictures except those shown as “stock lighting” products.  Stock items are photographed in our   studio—actual item pictures.  All custom order items will be slightly different in shape, cable, top metal but will be very close to the representation here.

Q: How close is the glass color I will receive to the color chart sample?
A: There are solid and mixed colors in the color chart.  Solid colors are true and don't deviate much, hand mixed colors vary from batch to batch.  The color you see in the color chart is of the actual color, but not your batch you will order so expect deviations.  All the mixed glass is hand made.

Q: Are the cables adjustable so I can set the item length ?
A: Yes, all of our cabling is adjustable .  The chandeliers that hang on cabling    cannot be closer than 12” to the ceiling in most cases and the hanging single cable pendants adjust to a maximum length of 60”.  You can also set them as short as you want.  To adjust you will need to cut the cable and make some  adjustments as needed.

Q: Are  your lights UL approved?
A: Yes and No— the fully assembled light as pictured is not, but all the electrical parts and pieces are such as the canopy, the wire, the nuts, bolts, etc. Only use a licensed professional for your installation of our products.
